On leaving the Regulars he went on to serve with the Royal Auxiliary Air Force Regiment and Territorial Army finishing his military career as the Commanding Officer of a Pioneer Regiment in the Royal Logistic Corps with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, all of which contributed to his keen interest in military tradition and history. He maintains his military links as Employer Liaison with the Committee of the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association and Vice Chair of the Lincolnshire Committee. In this series of talks he looks at the subject and relates his own anecdotes and experiences.
